Adrian Peterson led the early Sunday game scoring with a dominant outing against the previously top-ranked Falcons run defense. Several performances like Ryan Fitzpatrick's four touchdown outing, Sammy Watkins' monster first half, and Jarvis Landry's 165 yard explosion helped tilt the tides in fantasy matchups. Our staff recaps all the sunday action for you below. Make sure to come back later as we update the page for the afternoon and night games. Four our Thursday game takes, check out our Thanksgiving game recaps.
New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans
Top performers:
» Mark Ingram, RB: 97 yards, 9.70 fantasy points
» Drew Brees, QB: 228 pass yards, INT, 7.12 fantasy points
» Benjamin Watson, TE: 53 yards, 5.30 fantasy points
» Alfred Blue, WR: 81 yards, TD, 14.10 fantasy points
» Brian Hoyer, QB: 205 pass yards, 2 TD, INT, -3 rush yards, 13.90 fantasy points
» Ryan Griffin, TE: 72 yards, TD, 13.20 fantasy points
Just in case you didn't believe that the Texans defense had turned a corner, look no further than today's shutdown of the Saints offense. For the first time since Sean Payton took over as New Orleans head coach, Drew Brees failed to throw a touchdown pass. Much of the credit goes to the Texans pass rush, led by J.J. Watt's two sacks. The running game didn't offer a whole lot either with Mark Ingram logging 52 rushing yards. If you're looking for a bright spot in the passing game, Ben Watson had a team-high 53 yards. So there's that.
DeAndre Hopkins was supposed to have all of the fantasy points today against the woeful Saints defense. But the fantasy gods are cruel and they shackled Nuk, limiting him to just 36 yards on five catches. Instead, Ryan Griffin helped absolutely no one with his 72 receiving yards and a touchdown. Thanks a lot. If you made the move to start Alfred Blue, good on ya! The running back was one of six Texans with a rushing attempt, leading the way with 81 scrimmage yards and a rushing touchdown. Still, this was not the production we were hoping for.
San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Top performers:
» Philip Rivers, QB: 300 pass yards, 4 TD, 9 rush yards, 28.90 fantasy points
» Antonio Gates, TE: 53 yards, 2 TD, 17.30 fantasy points
» Steve Johnson, WR: 92 yards, TD, 15.20 fantasy points
» Blake Bortles, QB: 329 pass yards, 2 TD, INT, 33 rush yards, 22.46 fantasy points
» Julius Thomas, TE: 116 yards, TD, 17.60 fantasy points
» Allen Robinson, WR: 56 yards, TD, 11.60 fantasy points
Welcome back, Philip Rivers! The veteran quarterback had been driving the struggle bus recently although injuries to his receivers had a lot to do with it. But he rebounded in a big way with 300 yards and four touchdowns (two to his BFF Antonio Gates). It was the performance we'd been waiting for -- if you had the wisdom to start him this week. The Chargers are still trying to force feed Melvin Gordon in the running game and while he was better (14 rush, 60 yards), he's still not worthy of starting for your fantasy team.
Blake Bortles continues to be the quarterback that succeeds in fantasy despite himself. The Jaguars signal-caller threw a pick and had a pair of boneheaded throws that came well across the line of scrimmage, yet he still finished with 22 fantasy points. This was also the breakout Julius Thomas game that we'd been waiting on for awhile. T.J. Yeldon started the game well, but was inexplicably ignored later in the contest in favor of Denard Robinson. Allen Hurns left the game on a stretcher and was diagnosed with a concussion. It will be imperative to keep an eye on his progress going forward.
Minnesota Vikings at Atlanta Falcons
Top performers:
» Teddy Bridgewater, QB: 174 passing yards, INT, 4.66 fantasy points
» Adrian Peterson, RB: 31 touches, 187 total yards, 2 TD, 30.70 fantasy points
» Stefon Diggs, WR: 4 rec, 31 yards, 3.10 fantasy points
» Kyle Rudolph, TE: 7 rec, 53 yards, 5.30 fantasy points
» Matt Ryan, QB: 230 yards, TD, 2 INTs, 9.10 fantasy points
» Tevin Coleman, RB: 18 carries, 110 yards, 9.0 fantasy points
» Julio Jones, WR: 5 rec, 56 yards, 5.60 fantasy points
» Roddy White, WR: 6 rec, 60 yards, 6.0 fantasy points
» Jacob Tamme, TE: 5 rec, 69 yards, 6.90 fantasy points
The Vikings won this game exactly how they want to, on the back of Adrian Peterson and big plays from their defense. Peterson was a wrecking ball in this game, catching two big gainers, busting a long touchdown run and scoring at the goal line. With Todd Gurley sinking into the quicksand that is the Rams offense, Peterson is once again the RB1 overall in fantasy. The passing offense essentially offers nothing. Bridgewater threw just 28 passes, and with that game script, there is not much for Stefon Diggs. He's a WR3 at best going forward. If you started the Vikings defense, Anthony Barr rewarded you two of the three turnovers off Matt Ryan. He was the best player on the field today.
Matt Ryan is a problem for both the Falcons and Julio Jones' fantasy owners. The veteran quarterback is mired in the middle of his worst season while adjusting to Kyle Shanahan's offense. Not having Devonta Freeman hurt, as well. Tevin Coleman's stat line looks nice, but he hurt the team with a fumble on the end of a 46 yard run (41 percent of his yardage) and multiple drops. He's an incredibly volatile player in fantasy and on a down-to-down basis. It's hard to know what to tell you with Julio Jones. He's obviously a weekly starter, but you have to be a little worried about his consistent ceiling right now.
Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans
Top performers:
» Derek Carr, QB: 330 passing yards, 3 TDs, 23. 70 fantasy points
» Latavius Murray, RB: 23 touches, 82 total yards, 8.20 fantasy points
» Amari Cooper, WR: 7 rec, 115 yards, 11.50 fantasy points
» Michael Crabtree, WR: 4 rec, 19 yards, TD, 7.90 fantasy points
» Seth Roberts, WR: 6 rec, 113 yards, 2 TDs, 23.30 fantasy points
» Marcus Mariota, WR: 218 passing yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 19.42 fantasy points
» Antonio Andrews, RB: 12 touches, 46 total yards, 4.60 fantasy points
» Harry Douglas, WR: 3 rec, 29 yards, TD, 8.90 fantasy points
» Delanie Walker, TE: 6 rec, 91 yards, 9.10 fantasy points
The Raiders didn't come out firing in the first half, but their passing offense came out with an all-around solid game. Derek Carr rebounded after two back-to-back poor games to top 300 yards and tossed three touchdowns. Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree both came away with solid games, but it was Seth Roberts that outdid them both. Roberts has posted sporadic strong stat lines and could be someone to stash on dynasty rosters.
The Titans offense is not very good, although Marcus Mariota continues to post good quarterback streaming numbers. Delanie Walker is clearly the No. 1 target, and he had a solid all-around fantasy day. However, Oakland continues to give up touchdowns to the backup tight ends, as Craig Stevens caught the scoring pass. The run game is evaporating, as well. This is about what we can usually expect from this offense, with Walker and Mariota being the only usable assets.
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Top performers:
» Ryan Tannehill, QB: 351 pass yards, 3 TDs, INT, lost fumble, 22.04 fantasy points
» Lamar Miller, RB: 2 rush yards, 11 rec yards, 1.30 fantasy points
» Jarvis Landry, WR: 165 rec yards, 4 rush yards, 1 TD, 22.90 fantasy points
» DeVante Parker, WR: 80 rec yards, TD, 14.00 fantasy points
» Greg Jennings, WR: 9 rec yards, TD, 6.90 fantasy points
» Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB: 277 pass yards, 4 TDs, 21 rush yards, 29.18 fantasy points
» Chris Ivory, RB: 87 rush yards, rush TD, 15 rec yards, 16.20 fantasy points
» Brandon Marshall, WR: 131 rec yards, 2 TDs, 25.10 fantasy points
» Eric Decker, WR: 62 rec yards, TD, 12.20 fantasy points
» Devin Smith, WR: 33 rec yards, TD, 9.30 fantasy points
This just in: Ryan Fitzpatrick trims beard, throws four touchdown passes against Dolphins. Keep that thing clean, Fitz! Oh right, you want fantasy football analysis. Well the Jets wide receivers had a field day against Miami on Sunday combining for four touchdowns which meant fantasy points for everyone. But it was Brandon Marshall who had the huge day soaking up a team-high nine receptions on 11 targets for 131 yards and two scores. Eric Decker also proved why he's one of the most efficient wideouts in fantasy with another score of his own. Chris Ivory also bounced back for fantasy owners here after a string of slow games. Ivory broke somewhere close to 1,000 tackles on his ridiculous 31-yard touchdown run in the second half. He gained over 100 yards from scrimmage on his 23 touches in the game and remains a top-notch RB2 for fantasy owners.
Miami's offense had a tough time getting anything going in the first half and headed into the locker room at halftime with zero points. Because the Dolphins' run game was virtually non-existant (they combined for 12 rush yards as a team), Tannehill attempted 58 passes when all was said and done. He did save some face with three touchdown passes in the second half, but it was too little too late against a Jets team that had already racked up too big of a lead to overcome. He can't be trusted as a fantasy starter. Lamar Miller had his second straight disappointing game as he gained just two rush yards on five attempts. Miller again had just eight touches the entire game. He needs more volume to be a valuable fantasy asset so we'll have to hope he gets more opportunities next week against the Ravens. At least Jarvis Landry came through for fantasy owners with his biggest game of the season. Landry hauled in 13 of his 16 targets for 165 yards and a score. Landry remains a high-end WR2, especially in PPR formats. One last takeaway here, rookie DeVante Parker saw 10 targets in the game and although he only caught four passes, he managed 80 yards and his first touchdown as a pro. It will be interesting to see if he's a bigger part of this Miami offense going forward.
St. Louis Rams at Cincinnati Bengals
Top performers:
» Nick Foles, QB: 228 yards, 3 INTs, 2 rush yards, 3.32 fantasy points
» Todd Gurley, RB: 19 rush yards, 11 rec yards, 3.00 fantasy points
» Tavon Austin, WR: 63 rush yards, 1 rush TD, 33 rec yards, 15.60 fantasy points
» Andy Dalton, QB: 233 pass yards, 3 TDs, INT, 4 rush yards, 19.72 fantasy points
» A.J. Green, WR: 61 rec yards, 2 TDs, 18.10 fantasy points
» Giovani Bernard, RB: 16 rush yards, 51 rec yards, 6.70 fantasy points
» Jeremy Hill, RB: 86 rush yards, 14 rec yards, 10.00 fantasy points
» Tyler Eifert, TE: 40 rec yards, TD, 10.00 fantasy points
The Bengals subjugated the Rams on Sunday by a score of 31-7. Despite the bad matchup on paper, Andy Dalton found success in the passing game, completeing 20 of his 27 attempts and threw three touchdown passes, two to A.J. Green and one to Tyler Eifert to lead his team to a victory. It was nice to see Green back in the end zone since he hadn't scored since Week 8. He remains a low-end WR1 for now. Eifert, who leads the NFL with 12 receiving touchdowns just keeps on scoring game after game. Unfortunately he left this one early with what the team called a shoulder stinger, so we'll have to keep an eye on his status heading into Week 13. Jeremy Hill ran well against the Rams with 86 yards on 16 attempts and he and Giovani Bernard combined for over 100 rush yards in the game. Bernard also collected 51 yards in the passing game. For once, Hill actually scored double digit fantasy points without getting into the end zone, which is a good sign. Unfortunately, Hill left the game early with an ankle injury, so we'll be keeping a close eye on his status in the coming days.
The Rams were simply atrocious on offense. Nick Foles attempted 46 passes in the game, while throwing three picks and zero touchdowns. Toddy Gurley struggled as well gaining just 19 yards on nine rush attempts and failed to reach the end zone, breaking his streak of five straight games with a score. Despite his recent decline Gurley remains a must-start in fantasy each and every week. Tavon Austin was the lone bright spot here, as he totaled 99 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 10 touches, including one 60-yard run. Austin carries some risk from week to week since he is so inconsistent and will be a boom-or-bust option for the rest of the season. The Rams take on the Cardinals next week so things won't get any easier for them.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts
Top performers:
» Jameis Winston, QB: 245 yards, TD, INT, 27 rush yards, 14.5 fantasy points
» Doug Martin, RB: 97 rush yards, 1 rec yard, 9.8 fantasy points
» Mike Evans, WR: 5 rec, 64 yards, 6.4 fantasy points
» Vincent Jackson, WR: 4 rec, 76 yards, 7.6 fantasy points
» Matt Hasselbeck, QB: 315 yards, 2 TDs, 20.3 fantasy points
» Frank Gore, RB: 24 rush yards, 13 rec yards, 3.7 fantasy points
» T.Y. Hilton, WR: 6 rec, 95 yards, 2 TDs, 21.5 fantasy points
» Donte Moncrief, WR: 8 rec, 114 yards, 11.4 fantasy points
The upstart Bucs offense hit a bit of a speed bump against the Colts. Mike Evans continues to be plagued by drops, with a particularly bad one that could have been a touchdown. He should rebound just fine, as he has a safe target volume (10 more today). Doug Martin ran well once again, and was held without a score once again. He's still in the RB1 discussion week-in and week-out. Winston's day could have been better had Evans not suffered through so many drops. He's showing a lot of progress as an NFL quarterback and should have some nice value down the stretch.
Matt Hasselbeck had his finest day under center this year, picking apart the Bucs' secondary to the tune of 315 yards and two touchdowns. He's a fine streaming option the rest of the way, at least until Andrew Luck comes back. Frank Gore battled knee and quad injuries during the week, but was still fed 19 carries. He only managed a paltry 24 yards, though. We still like him as a low-end RB2, as his volume will lead to better fantasy days against better matchups. Both T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief came back to life with good fantasy days, though Hilton was the only one to find the end zone. Both will remain in the weekly WR3/flex discussion until we see this level of production on a more consistent basis. Ahmad Bradshaw left the game with a wrist injury.
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs
Top performers:
» Tyrod Taylor, QB: 291 yards, 3 TDs, 46 rush yards, 26.24 fantasy points
» LeSean McCoy, RB: 70 rush yards, 31 rec yards, TD, fmbl, 14.1 fantasy points
» Sammy Watkins, WR: 6 rec, 158 yards, 2 TDs 27.8 fantasy points
» Alex Smith, QB: 255 yards, 2 TDs, 35 rush yards, 21.7 fantasy points
» Spencer Ware, RB: 114 rush yards, TD, 17.5 fantasy points
» Jeremy Maclin, WR: 9 rec, 160 yards, TD, 22 fantasy points
» Travis Kelce, TE: 4 rec, 69 yards, TD, 12.9 fantasy points
There was a surprising amount of offense in this game, considering the defenses involved and rainy conditions. Sammy Watkins exploded in the first half with 6 catches, 158 yards and two touchdowns, but the Chiefs locked down their coverage and held him catchless in the second half. He's still somewhat of a boom-or-bust prospect in fantasy, because as Chase Stuart pointed out, Watkins has ZERO games with more than 60 and less than 158 receiving yards. Tyrod Taylor had a monster day, with three passing touchdowns and 46 rushing yards, reminding us of what he can do on the field and in fantasy when he's on his game. LeSean McCoy posted 101 total yards and a receiving touchdown to round out another nice fantasy day. Karlos Williams left with a shoulder injury.
Alex Smith threw the rock pretty well, connecting on deep passes to Jeremy Maclin and Travis Kelce. He has a decent upcoming schedule and the Chiefs offense is clicking, making him an interesting streaming candidate. Maclin finished with a fantastic line of nine catches, 160 yards and a touchdown ... if any owners were bold enough to start him after a slump. He gets the Oakland secondary next week and is well on his way to getting back into our good graces. It was great seeing Kelce find the end zone again, which he needs to do to return low-end TE1 value. With Charcandrick West out with a hamstring injury, Spencer Ware was the workhorse, with 19 of the team's 20 running back carries. He notched 114 yards and a touchdown on the ground, proving a great spot start for those who scooped him up off of waivers this week. The Chiefs tend to feed one back, but perhaps they'll go to a bit more of a committee once West returns, as Ware offers a nice power complement to West's skill set. The situation will need to be monitored and Ware needs to be held onto.
New York Giants at Washington Redskins
Top performers:
» Eli Manning, QB: 321 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs, 14.84 fantasy points
» Odell Beckham Jr., WR: 9 rec, 142 yards, TD, 20.2 fantasy points
» Kirk Cousins, QB: 302 yards, TD, 22.18 fantasy points
» Alfred Morris, RB: 23 carries, 78 yards, 13 rec yards, 9.1 fantasy points
» DeSean Jackson, WR: 2 rec, 66 yards, TD, 12.6 fantasy points
» Jordan Reed, TE: 8 rec, 98 yards, 9.8 fantasy points
The Giants were thoroughly dominated for most of this game, with Odell Beckham Jr. as the only way the Giants offense could move the football for much of the game. If you missed his other-worldly touchdown catch, check it out in the video to the right. Rueben Randle caught just one of his six targets, but it was for a deep touchdown. Don't chase the points. The backfield carries were split between all four backs again, further reminding owners that this is one to avoid in fantasy. Eli Manning had some unlucky interceptions, as two bounced off of his receivers' hands. He'll be a low-end QB1 the rest of the season.
The Washington offense got exactly what they needed and what we've come to expect from their pass-catcher. DeSean Jackson got on top of the defense for a long touchdown, but only had one other catch. Jordan Reed was fed targets and nearly hit the century mark in yardage. Those that stuck with Kirk Cousins as a streaming candidate were rewarded with a solid outing. He's still only a matchup-based streamer, and ideally when he plays at home. In the battle of frustrating fantasy backfields, Alfred Morris was surprisingly fed 23 carries (with Matt Jones seeing just 8). Morris ran well, but there's no way to trust whether he'll see this amount of volume again. He, and his backfield cohorts need to remain on the fantasy bench.
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
Top performers:
» Carson Palmer, QB: 271 pass yards, 6 rush yards, TD, 17.44 fantasy points
» John Brown, WR: 99 yards, 9.90 fantasy points
» David Johnson, RB: 29 yards TD 8.90 fantasy points
» Blaine Gabbert, QB: 318 pass yards, TD, INT, 11 rush yards, 15.82 fantasy points
» Vance McDonald, TE: 71 yards, TD, 13.10 fantasy points
» Anquan Boldin, WR: 93 rush yards, 9.30 fantasy points
On a day when the wrath of the fantasy gods was fierce, the Arizona Cardinals were unable to escape punishment. The team lost both Chris Johnson (knee) and Andre Ellington (foot) to injuries while Carson Palmer and the passing game could never get going. Give some credit to the 49ers defense, which has played better at home this season. Were it not for Palmer's rushing touchdown, the Cardinals fantasy offense would have been completely irrelevant.
Blaine Gabbert is starting to make us believe. We don't want to because once it happens, our hearts will be broken. But it's undeniable that the Niners offense has been much more functional with him at the controls. The change under center has also made Shaun Draughn and Vance McDonald rosterable. There's no good argument to be made for starting any of those players on a weekly basis, but maybe there's a little more life in the Niners offense than we previously believed.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Seattle Seahawks
Top performers:
» Ben Roethlisberger, QB: 456 pass yards, TD, 2 INTs, 18 rush yards, 22.04 fantasy points
» DeAngelo Williams, RB: 29 rush yards, TD, 88 rec yards, 17.70 fantasy points
» Antonio Brown, WR: 51 rec yards, 5.10 fantasy points
» Martavis Bryant, WR: 69 rec yards, 11 rush yards, rush TD, 14.00 fantasy points
» Markus Wheaton, WR: 201 rec yards, TD, 26.10 fantasy points
» Russell Wilson, QB: 345 pass yards, 5 TDs, 14 rush yards, 35.20 fantasy points
» Thomas Rawls, RB: 81 rush yards, 1 TD, 14.10 fantasy points
» Jimmy Graham, TE: 75 rec yards, 7.5 fantasy points
» Doug Baldwin, WR: 145 rec yards, 3 TDs, 32.50 fantasy points
» Jermaine Kearse, WR: 47 rec yards, 2 TDs, 16.70 fantasy points
»
There were a TON of fantasy points to go around in this back-and-forth nail-biter that saw seven lead changes. First of all, holy Markus Wheaton. The Steelers No. 3 wideout led his team in receiving with nine receptions for over 200 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown reception. Let's be honest ... nobody saw that coming. We'll consider this an anomaly since he hasn't had more than three catches or 72 yards in a game yet this season. Ben Roethlisberger broke the record the most passing yards the allowed by Seahawks, with 456. Unfortunately he only managed to throw one touchdown pass in the game but still finished with over 20 fantasy points. Martavis Bryant scored on a rushing touchdown in the first half which gave his fantasy owners a bit of a boost since he had just 69 receiving yards. Antonio Brown was pretty much shut down here, but we have a feeling he will be just fine. DeAngelo Williams did most of his damage in the passing game but did score a rushing touchdown on one of his eight carries.
Oh my Russell Wilson! The Seahawks quarterback surpassed Matthew Stafford for the week's highest scoring fantasy player on the heels of a 345-yard, five touchdown game. He tossed three touchdowns to Doug Baldwin, including an 80-yarder late in the fourth quarter that basically served as the nail in the Steelers coffin. Jermaine Kearse also had a nice day with two touchdowns of his own. Baldwin finished with 145 yards and his three scores on just six catches. That's an average of 24.2 yards per catch. Unfortunately, his fantasy production is too inconsistent to rely on week in and week out. Thomas Rawls did what fantasy owners hoped he would, with 81 yards and a rushing touchdown on 21 carries. He'll remain an RB1 going forward. Some bad news came from this game as Jimmy Graham suffered what looked like a serious knee injury on an incompletion in the end zone, and he he had to be carted off. We'll be anxious for updates on his status but it didn't look good.
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos
Top performers:
» Tom Brady, QB: 280 yards, 3 TDs, 23.2 fantasy points
» Brandon Bolden, RB: 11 rush yards, 84 rec yards, TD, 15.5 fantasy points
» Brandon LaFell, WR: 4 rec, 36 yards, 3.6 fantasy points
» Rob Gronkowski, TE: 6 rec, 88 yards, TD, 14.8 fantasy points
» Brock Osweiler, QB: 270 yards, TD, INT, 13.2 fantasy points
» Ronnie Hillman, RB: 59 rush yards, TD, 11.9 fantasy points
» C.J. Anderson, RB: 113 rush yards, 2 TDs, 40 rec yards, 27.3 fantasy points
» Emmanuel Sanders, WR: 6 rec, 113 yards, 11.3 fantasy points
Let's get this out of the way first: Gronk was carted off with a right knee injury. Stay tuned, and send positive thoughts Gronks way. Hopefully he isn't lost for the season. He was seen walking to the lockerroom after getting X-rays, so that's encouraging. Now, on to the rest of the game ... Tom Brady was his typical god-like self, throwing three touchdown passes and collecting 280 yards against the NFL's best defense. In the backfield, it is as we feared: #Belitricks have returned. LeGarrette Blount only saw nine carries on a snowy night that seemed catered to his downhill style, while Brandon Bolden racked up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown (63 of them on the scoring play). Brandon LaFell led a Danny Amendola-less wide receiving corps with just 36 yards. Scott Chandler also got in on the scoring action, and will be a name to watch on the waiver wire depending on how severe Gronk's injury is.
C.J. Anderson ... where have you been all season? OK, admittedly we noted that Anderson has been playing like it's 2014 since his bye (when his foot was finally able to heal), but this performance was something else. Anderson showe the power, cutting ability and speed that made owners draft him in the first or second round. He'll be pushing for RB2 status the rest of the way, but Ronnie Hillman also looked good and will continue to see a plenty of touches. This is a backfield that looks like it can support two fantasy options, as Brock Osweiler's mobility has allowed the running game to flourish in Gary Kubiak's true system. Osweiler had an OK day against a good Patriots defense. He can be streamed in the right situations down the stretch. Demaryius Thomas had a night to forget, with just one catch on 13 targets. Emmanuel Sanders looks healthy and is back to being an every-week WR2.
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
Top performers:
» Matt Schaub, QB: 232 pass yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 10 rush yards, 14.28 fantasy points
» Javorius Allen, RB: 55 rush yards, 29 rec yards, rec TD, 14.40 fantasy points
» Kamar Aiken, WR: 80 rec yards, TD, 14.0 fantasy points
» Ravens D/ST: 2 sacks, 1 return TD, blocked FG returned for TD, 27 pts allowed, 14.00 fantasy points
» Josh McCown, QB: 212 pass yards, TD, 12 rush yards, 13.68 fantasy points
» Duke Johnson, RB: 27 rush yards, 23 rec yards, 5.00 fantasy points
» Gary Barnidge, TE: 91 rec yards, 9.10 fantasy points
» Travis Benjamin, WR: 10 rush yards, 90 rec yards, rec TD, 16.00 fantasy points
» Marlon Moore, WR: 10 rec yards, TD, 7.00 fantasy points
For all the hype about this Monday night matchup being, well, not a good one, it had one heck of a finish. The Ravens beat the Browns on the final play of regulation. Travis Coons came out to kick a potential game-winning field goal for Cleveland, but the kick was blocked and returned by Ravens defender Will Hill for a touchdown. That's not something we see every day.
And for fantasy owners, there was actually a lot to be excited about. In his first NFL start, rookie running back Javorius Allen scored a receiving touchdown early in the game. He netted about 14 fantasy points on 16 total touches, which is just fine for your RB2 slot. De facto No. 1 wideout Kamar Aiken also stepped up for fantasy owners in need, as he was targeted a team high 10 times and hauled in six receptions for 80 yards and a score. Based on pure volume alone, he should be at least a flex play going forward. Matt Schaub did what he does, and yes even threw a pick-six. But he still managed over 14 fantasy points. You're not going to use him in fantasy but it was good to see him capable of moving the Ravens offense.
The Browns running game was anemic as usual. Isaiah Crowell gained just seven yards on seven carries and he can be cut loose to the waiver wire. For some reason, Duke Johnson only had seven touches, so we'd like to see more volume before we can feel ok starting him in fantasy. The big story for the Browns was Gary Barnidge who was solid with 91 yards, and Travis Benjamin who was targeted a team-high 13 times and scored on a deep pass from backup quarterback Austin Davis. Yep, Austin Davis came in for an injured Josh McCown who went out in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury. We'll have to see if he can get healthy heading into Week 13, but he's been banged up this year and is 36-years-old so we're not banking on it.
