Anthony Fasano, Mike DeVito agree to K.C. Chiefs deals

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a multiyear contract with tight end Anthony Fasano, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday. The team announced the signing Wednesday.

The Chiefs also signed former New York Jets defensive end Mike DeVito to a three-year, $12.6 million contract with more than $8 million guaranteed, according to Rapoport.

Fasano will join the Chiefs after spending the last five seasons with the Miami Dolphins. Fasano joins Tony Moeaki to form a tight end tandem that has the potential to do damage in new coach Andy Reid's West Coast offense. The Chiefs previously attempted to pair Moeki with Kevin Boss, but lingering concussion issues led to Boss' release.

Fasano set a career high last season with 41 receptions for 332 yards and five touchdowns. His yards-per-catch average plummeted six full yards (14.1 to 8.1) in 2012, but that likely was more the product of a more conservative Dolphins offense with rookie Ryan Tannehill behind center. Fasano will be 29 next month.

An underrated run-stuffer during his six seasons with the Jets, DeVito, 28, reportedly drew interest from six NFL teams during the unrestricted free-agent legal tampering period.
