Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will get two wide receivers back this week, coach Chuck Pagano announced Wednesday.
The Indianapolis Star's Mike Chappell first tweeted that Austin Collie has been cleared after he suffered another concussion in the preseason. Phillip B. Wilson was the first to tweet the return of rookie T.Y. Hilton from a shoulder injury.
Collie is the starter opposite Reggie Wayne for Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Hilton is listed on the depth chart behind Wayne.
The Colts offense is a work in progress even with the No. 1 overall draft pick. Luck was 23-of-45 passing for 309 yards in his first NFL game with one touchdown and three interceptions. The offensive line left him scrambling, but it's safe to assume the veteran Collie and Hilton, who showed quickness and promise during the preseason, would have helped.
Luck should have a more productive day with two more quality receiving options against a Vikings defense that doesn't have the same skill as the Chicago Bears.
