The San Francisco 49ers have been a reported potential suitor for wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Their general manager downplayed that notion Sunday.
"Right now, he's under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles," Trent Baalke said from the owner's meetings in Orlando, Fla., per CSN Bay Area. "We've not made any contact with the Eagles relative to a trade for DeSean Jackson."

"As of this moment, those reports are totally misleading and false."
Baalke's comments are in line with a recent report from NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, who refuted the report that San Francisco was making a push to land the Pro Bowl playmaker. The New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders are believed to be among the teams with interest at this time.
The Niners reportedly showed interest in several high-profile wide receivers in free agency, but have been unable to land a complement to Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin. Jackson makes plenty of sense for the team, but his salary makes a trade unlikely as long as a future mega-contract with Colin Kaepernick looms by the bay.
