It's hard to get 13 analysts to agree on anything. That's why it's surprising all 13 panelists in our NFL.com Power Poll picked the Houston Texans as the No. 1 team in the land.
Darlington: Listen to Texans
Matt Schaub and the Texans sent a message to the NFL with Sunday's win. Jeff Darlington hears them out. **More ...**
The Atlanta Falcons' three victories have been just as impressive as the Texans', if not more. The San Francisco 49ers have a better overall roster than the Texans but their loss to the Minnesota Vikings moved them down two spots. I'm one of the voters, so I can't really argue with how it all turned out.
It's more interesting to see the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots, preseason favorites, remain in the top eight despite being 1-2. Everyone still expects them to be there at the end of the year. Despite a 1-2 start, both teams should be higher. Voters really think the Arizona Cardinals have a better overall team?
This also was the week when the bottom fell out for the New Orleans Saints. That's what happens when you go 0-3 against three teams that are 0-6 combined when they aren't facing you. Yikes.
