A "bruised lung" never sounds good. It makes fans who generally expect the worst ... expect the worst. Luckily for Cleveland Browns backers, Barkevious Mingo's return from a bruised lung is going well.
Mingo participated Monday in individual drills, marking the first time he practiced since suffering his injury Aug. 15. The Akron Beacon Journal reported that the first-round draft pick sprinted around cones and caught passes during a pass-coverage drill.
ESPN previously reported that Mingo was likely to miss the season opener but expected to play in Week 2. Once healthy, Mingo adds to an intriguing Browns front seven that has three solid edge rushers in Mingo, Jabaal Sheard and Paul Kruger.
