The Cincinnati Bengals announced the signing of first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 306-pound former Texas A&M product was one of two offensive tackles the Bengals selected in the first two rounds of last month's NFL Draft -- along with Jake Fisher.
Ogbuehi is coming off a torn ACL suffered in a bowl game. With Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith entrenched at the tackle spots, the Bengals can afford to bring the rookie along slowly -- he's likely to start out on the PUP list.
NFL Media's Mike Mayock said Ogbuehi reminded him of Jets left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson. If that assessment comes close, the Bengals will have another excellent tackle to deploy in the future.
With Ogbuehi's deal done, six first-round picks remain unsigned.
All of the Bengals picks are now signed.
