ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - The Buffalo Bills have selected TCU linebacker Tank Carder with their second of two fifth-round picks in the NFL draft on Saturday.
Selected 147th overall, Carder is a two-time Mountain West Conference defensive player of the year, and was the defensive MVP in the 2011 Rose Bowl. Carder played a key role in securing TCU's 21-19 win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl by breaking up a potential game-tying two-point conversion with 2 minutes left.
He's a three-year starter and finished with nine sacks, 25 tackles for losses and four interceptions.
Carder's the second linebacker the Bills have drafted after selecting Florida State's Nigel Bradham in the fourth round.
Barring a trade, Buffalo has two picks left through the final two rounds. Their next pick is a sixth-rounder, 178th overall.
