ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was held out of practice Wednesday to rest an assortment of aches and pains, but he is expected to play in Sunday's season finale against the New York Jets.
Bills coach Chan Gailey said he wanted to give Fitzpatrick a day off. He anticipates the quarterback will return to practice Thursday.
Fitzpatrick walked with a slight limp Wednesday, favoring his right leg. He hasn't missed a snap since taking over as starter in Week 3. He has provided the offense a semblance of identity despite the team's 4-11 record.
Fitzpatrick is coming off his worst game of the season. He threw three interceptions and lost two fumbles during a 34-3 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.
