When the 2016 NFL schedule was released last week, Dan Hanzus listed the Week 7 matchup between the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos as the top "revenge" game of the season.
It's a chance for Brock Osweiler to show Denver's coaching staff that they made a mistake in benching him en route to the Super Bowl.
As it turns out, the Broncos also want a shot at their former quarterback after he defected to Houston with $37 million in guarantees.
"I hope he's ready," linebacker Brandon Marshall said, per the Denver Post. "(Because) we're coming for him."
Marshall and his cohorts should be familiar with Osweiler's strengths and weaknesses after staring across the line of scrimmage in four years of practices.
Osweiler isn't the only reason to circle the Oct. 24 date, however.
This clash also doubles as a chance for Broncos coach Gary Kubiak and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to avenge their firings at the end of the 2013 season.
