Broncos' Tebow wins GMC Moment of the Week honors

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's direction of three late-game scoring drives is the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on Dec. 8-12, the NFL announced Friday. The GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.

After the regular season, fans will have a chance to determine the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year, from among the 17 weekly winners. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.

NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENT NOMINEES

T.J. Yates, Houston Texans

Rookie rallies Texans to historic win: Yates, who entered the season as Houston's third-string quarterback, faced a 19-13 deficit and 80 yards to go for a touchdown with a bit more than two minutes remaining on the clock and no timeouts to help out. However, Yates drove the Texans down the field and threw the game-winning pass to wide receiver Kevin Walter with just two seconds remaining. The win was historic for Houston, as it earned the franchise its first-ever playoff berth.

Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos

Tebow Time produces another thrilling finish: Late-game rallies and epic finishes are becoming the norm for Tebow and the Broncos. Once again in Week 14, the Broncos faced a fourth-quarter deficit, only to pull it all together late to earn a victory. Tebow got some help from kicker Matt Prater, who kicked a 59-yard field goal to force overtime and then connected on a 51-yard attempt to deliver Denver its sixth straight win and seventh in eight games since Tebow took over as the team's starting quarterback.

Eli Manning, New York Giants

Giants end losing skid in epic fashion: Trailing 34-22 with less than six minutes remaining in the game, it appeared the Giants were headed to a devastating fifth consecutive defeat. Instead, Manning helped rally New York to victory, ending the skid at four games and launching New York into first place in the NFC East. An 8-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jake Ballard trimmed Dallas' lead to 34-29. After the Giants defense forced a three-and-out by the Cowboys offense, Manning directed another TD drive, capped by running back Brandon Jacobs' 1-yard touchdown run and backfield mate Danny Ware's two-point conversion. The Cowboys managed to get into field goal range, but defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul blocked Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey's 47-yard attempt to seal the win.
