We're getting close to a point where we need a whole separate website for bad news about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Wide receiver Mike Williamstold The Tampa Tribune on Friday he has a torn hamstring.
The news comes on the same day the Tampa Bay Times reported the Bucs were concerned about Williams' health and had questions whether he could continue playing.
Humans don't play wide receiver with torn hamstrings, so expect Williams to face a lengthy down period. Given the Bucs' woeful 0-7 state, Williams might be shut down for the balance of the season.
Williams said he originally injured the leg during a Week 4 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He played the past two weeks, which likely exacerbated the problem.
If Williams is moved to injured reserve, it will close the books on the first year of the six-year, $40.25 million contract extension he signed in the offseason. Like so many things Bucs-related in 2013, it will be remembered as a disappointment.
