Cal QB Jared Goff held serve in pro-day workout

It's pro-day season, and College Football 24/7 is your one-stop shop for information and analysis on every workout. Here's a look at the key takeaways from Friday's pro-day action.

Cal: Goff holds serve

Big draw: QB Jared Goff
Don't forget: WR Kenny Lawler
Attending: All 32 teams were represented. San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly made it to his second Pac-12 pro day in as many days, after seeing Stanford prospects Thursday. Other notables included Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson.
The skinny: Goff was impressive as expected at his pro day, but was roundly praised by analysts for the difficulty level of his scripted workout, which included more than its share of tougher downfield throws. "I thought he held serve. It was right down the middle. He hit the ball in the middle of the fairway," NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft". Analyst Curtis Conway said there wasn't much Goff could do to help himself Friday, but could've hurt himself with a rough day. "He didn't (hurt himself)," Conway said. ... RB Daniel Lasco turned in a 4.13 20-yard shuttle time.

Michigan: Rudock on target

Big draw: OL Graham Glasgow
Don't forget: DL Willie Henry
Attending: Michigan drew 32 NFL team representatives, including defensive line coaches from the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals.
The skinny: QB Jake Rudock threw well and showed good accuracy, according to NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt. Uninvited to the NFL Scouting Combine, Rudock also tested in drills. His 4.85 40-yard dash was in close range with most of the top combine quarterbacks. ...  Glasgow only went through position drills under the watch of Colts assistant line coach Joe Gilbert. ... DB Jarrod Wilson (6-1, 209) turned in 40-yard dashes of 4.55 and 4.59, with a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.34.

Navy: Reynolds wrap

Big draw: ATH Keenan Reynolds
Don't forget: FB Chris Swain
Attending: Navy drew representatives from 17 NFL clubs, according to the school.
The skinny: Reynolds got his first real chance to show scouts his speed in a workout setting after being left off the invitation list for the NFL Scouting Combine. He responded with a 4.56 unofficial 40-yard dash. However, Reynolds was unable to do a second attempt due to a hamstring issue that prematurely ended his pro-day workout. Before the hamstring issue, Reynolds turned in a 37-inch vertical jump. The question on Reynolds is position. The former quarterback is trying to convert to running back at the pro level.

Also in action on Friday: Akron, Georgia Tech, Kent State.

On deck for Monday: Iowa, Louisiana-Monroe, South Florida, North Carolina State.
