When Gisele Bundchen defended her husband Tom Brady's play in Super Bowl XLVI, it touched a nerve with those who considered the supermodel out of her depth critiquing the inner workings of the New England Patriots.
Brandon Jacobs, the Giants running back, suggested Gisele stick to the cute act and "shut up" about football matters, but Kristin Cavallari, the fiancée of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, saw it as an act of valor.
"Kind of loving how Gisele stuck up for her man," Cavallari tweeted Monday.
Perhaps because most die-hard fans take exception to a semi-relevant reality star weighing in on the NFL, Cavallari -- historically ready for battle -- took a fair helping of abuse on Twitter.
"I agree its not cool to throw teammates under the bus," she followed up. "I was simply saying its cute she had her mans back. Not at the teams expense though."
And ... we've officially entered the offseason.
