The San Diego Chargers lost three players for the remainder of the season in Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers.
The team announced Tuesday that wide receiver Malcolm Floyd, running back Ryan Mathews and offensive lineman Reggie Wells have been moved to injured reserve.
Floyd suffered an ankle injury against the Panthers, while Mathews broke his left clavicle. Wells' injury hasn't been disclosed.
Floyd set a career-high with 56 receptions this season, adding 814 yards and five touchdowns. Floyd's exit from the picture could give Robert Meachem a chance to finish his lost first season in San Diego on a high note.
According to UT-San Diego, Meachem will count a guaranteed $6.875 million against the 2013 cap. He has two catches for 18 yards since Week 7.
