Chris Johnson is back on the radar in the fantasy football community.
After averaging a paltry 3.9 yards per carry last season and missing offseason practices following knee surgery, Johnson was at full strength in his New York Jets training camp debut Thursday.
"I felt good," Johnson said, per the New York Post. "I felt no pain or anything like that."
"Having that kind of game-breaker out of the backfield certainly will get your attention," coach Rex Ryan said. "The kid at Buffalo, (C.J.) Spiller, is one of those guys that has that kind of speed. Chris, obviously, your antenna is up every time he comes out of that backfield. If he motions out, the DBs know, like wait a second, here's a 4.2. You'll approach him differently than you would most halfbacks."
While there has been much chatter about a committee attack in New York, Chris Ivory is dealing with his annual hamstring issues and Bilal Powell is no threat to Johnson's workload.
It's early in training camp, but Johnson's fantasy stock is on the rise.
