INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts cornerback Marlin Jackson is back on the field, and running back Mike Hart might not be far behind.
Jackson's early return to practice Thursday surprised some because it normally takes players a full year to recover from anterior cruciate ligament surgery. Jackson had his surgery Dec. 1.
Jackson says he isn't yet 100 percent, but he and Hart are both clearly ahead of schedule. Hart also tore his ACL in October and said he could pretty much do everything -- if asked.
Neither player would say whether they expect to be on the field for the team's first training camp practice Aug. 1 in Terre Haute.
