The Indianapolis Colts played without two key starters in the second half of Monday night's 20-7 loss to the New York Jets.
Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis (concussion) and tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) were ruled out for the game.
Although Davis has been the Colts' most valuable defensive player over the past two years, he lost his matchup with Brandon Marshall in the first half. He also allowed a touchdown to Eric Decker, the first score in his coverage since late in the 2013 season.
Already without starter Greg Toler and nickelback Darius Butler, the Colts had to roll with the inexperienced trio of Jalil Brown, Sheldon Price and Eric Patterson in the second half.
