ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions signed Chuck Darby to a three-year deal Tuesday, nearly a week after agreeing to terms with the defensive tackle.
Detroit hopes the seven-year veteran can help fill the void left by trading Shaun Rogers to Cleveland.
Darby played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2001-04, when Detroit coach Rod Marinelli coached their defensive line. He started 34 of his 36 games with the Seattle Seahawks over the past three seasons, but was limited to six games (all starts) last season before going on injured reserve with a knee injury.
