In his weekly officiating review to the media, NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino explained these plays from Week 10:
- A first-touch possession question on a punt in the Philadelphia Eagles-Green Bay Packers game.
- A dead ball caused by a player losing his helmet in the St. Louis Rams-Indianapolis Colts game.
- A timeout called by the San Diego Chargers with two minutes left in the game against the Denver Broncos.
- Whether the hit on Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning by the Chargers was legal.
- The elimination of running into and roughing the kicker once the snap touches the ground during the Detroit Lions-Chicago Bears game.
- And the discretion officials have for players in distress as shown during Dallas Cowboys-New Orleans Saints game.
