The Lions announced Thursday they've signed first-round pick Laken Tomlinson, leaving just seven first-round picks without deals.
Detriot now has its entire draft class under contract.
The 6-foot-3, 323-pound guard was brought in to help stabilize the interior of an up-and-down Lions front. It appears he'll battle with experienced veteran Manny Ramirez for the starting job at left guard during training camp.
The Lions would obviously like him to take the job and run with it.
Tomlinson has impressed so far during OTAs, though the true test is well ahead of him. The Duke product hasn't tested himself at full speed against Detroit's defensive line, but there's no doubt everyone will be looking forward to a potential Haloti Ngata matchup in a few weeks once camp begins.
