Jim Harbaugh just couldn't resist.
During a postgame press conference after Michigan's win over Rutgers on Saturday, the Wolverines' coach saw an opportunity to take a jab at an NFL team, and he didn't pass it up. Harbaugh made the slam with this comment:
"We train our quarterbacks to throw to people that aren't covered, even if it's a running play," Harbaugh said. "I was watching an NFL game where they didn't cover a receiver and the quarterback handed it off, and got maligned by scribes and pundits and so-called experts for not throwing it to him."
The play Harbaugh was referring to? It could be one from Week 8 (the play can be viewed at the top of this page), in which 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick hands the ball off rather than throwing to an uncovered Torrey Smith vs. the Rams.
There you go, Jim Tomsula and Co. It appears you've been Harbaugh'd, and that's a staff Harbaugh knows well -- there were eight holdovers from Harbaugh's 2014 coaching staff.
