MIAMI -- Safety Chris Crocker signed a $1.15 million, one-year contract Monday with the Miami Dolphins and is expected to compete for a starting job.
The Dolphins also were awarded sixth-round and seventh-round compensatory draft picks by the NFL.
Crocker's deal includes $300,000 guaranteed. He started 14 games and had three interceptions for Atlanta last year, and he has 52 starts in five NFL seasons.
Other safeties with Miami include Yeremiah Bell, Renaldo Hill, Jason Allen, Keith Davis and Courtney Bryan.
