Miami DolphinsPro Bowl left tackle Jake Long missed his first NFL game with a back injury last week, and his return is anything but set in stone.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Tuesday that Long returned to practice, but his lower back injury remains an issue that could keep him out of Saturday game's against the New England Patriots. John Jerry replaced Long in the Dolphins' starting lineup in last Sunday's 30-23 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
The Dolphins placed linebacker Koa Misi on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday and signed quarterback Pat Devlin from their practice squad. Devin gives the team some depth behind starter Matt Moore and J.P. Losman after spending the entire season on the practice squad.
Misi, Miami's starting strong-side linebacker, sat out the game in Buffalo with a left shoulder injury that he sustained against the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 11. He started nine games this year and had 31 tackles and one sack.
