When Donald Driver returned to the Green Bay Packers on a reduced contract, we wanted to see the fine print. For a player of Driver's age, it's all about guaranteed money.
ESPN's Andrew Brandt got a hold of the deal. Driver will earn $2.5 million in 2012 if he makes the Packers. He gets a $500,000 roster bonus next week. That's the only guaranteed money.

Then again, the number isn't extravagently large. If Driver truly struggled in camp, it's still conceivable the team would cut him.
"I just don't think it's going to happen," Driver said. "I think I've meant more to the organization than anything and the organization has meant so much to me. I don't think we'll ever get into a bitter relationship. They don't want that, I don't want that, so I don't think it will ever happen."
We agree. It shouldn't happen this year.
