Tony Romo got paid Friday, but not everyone -- and not all of his peers -- agrees with the massive six-year, $108 million contract extension the Dallas Cowboys handed their quarterback.
This tweet from former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb landed seconds after the deal was announced.
Romo's contract numbers generated awe, alarm and agitation on Twitter.
Romo's $55 million in guarantees tops the $52 million guaranteed that Joe Flacco will receive as part of his new six-year contract with the Ravens.
The difference, of course, is that Flacco is fresh off Super Bowl glory and holds a 9-4 mark in postseason play. He has thrown 19 touchdown passes in the playoffs, and the Ravens have never missed January action during his five-year watch. If Joe was overpaid, what about Tony? McNabb, who later explained his tweet during an appearance on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access," isn't buying it.
Romo and his 1-3 playoff record have cashed in something fierce.
