The Philadelphia Eagles found a man to help guide their personnel department under Chip Kelly.
The Eagles announced Thursday that Ed Marynowitz was named vice president of player personnel. He signed a three-year contract.
The 30-year-old joined the Eagles in 2012 as assistant director of pro scouting and was promoted in 2013 to assistant director of player personnel.
"We intend to build a collaborative and competitive work environment with our coaches, one built upon trust and respect with a focus on winning," Marynowitz said in a statement. "I have had a great experience working with Chip over the last two years and the opportunity to work with him in this new capacity is one I look forward to.
"Our goal as a personnel department will be to develop a detailed process to maximize each segment of the scouting calendar in order to support and execute Chip's vision."
Marynowitz helped Alabama coach Nick Saban build his first two titles in Tuscaloosa. The native of Media, Pennsylvania, is considered a young, rising star in league circles.
In the end, however, Kelly is steering this ship.
