Last year's No. 1 overall draft pick, Eric Fisher, missed the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff game with a groin injury. Apparently that was not all that ailed the offensive tackle heading into the offseason.

Andy Reid told reporters Monday that Fisher underwent shoulder surgery and had a sports hernia repaired this offseason, per The Kansas City Star. Reid said Fisher has been rehabbing and is recovering well.
Reid also added that Fisher added five pounds of "good weight" during the process.
Fisher's health is noteworthy as the Chiefs began their offseason workout because he is expected to take over at left tackle for the departed Branden Albert.
Fisher struggled at right tackle early in the 2013 season, but improved down the stretch before injuries kept him out of the playoff loss. He was billed as a better blindside tackle than power right tackle coming out of college.
With losses of Albert, and guards Jon Asamoah and Geoff Schwartz, blocking will be a major question mark for KC entering 2014. A healthy and improved Fisher is imperative to help keep Alex Smith upright.
