The 30-year-old former Detroit Lions wide receiver appeared before Saginaw County District Judge A.T. Frank, who released Rogers on a $7,500 bond and ordered him to appear at the Saginaw County Jail on an upcoming weekend to have his fingerprints processed.

As he left the courtroom with another man, Rogers reportedly said, "If I was a nobody, they would have crucified me."

Rogers is charged with making a malicious phone call and conspiring to commit that crime March 5 and March 6 in Bridgeport Township, Mich., and with possessing marijuana, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license Dec. 2 in Saginaw, Mich.

All five charges that Rogers faces are misdemeanors. The marijuana charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail, while the phone call charge carries a six-month maximum sentence.
