The fantasy girl did predict the points difference between the Pats and Colts (four points), so it wasn't all bad this weekend.

Even in what has been a mediocre performance, Brady has three touchdowns passes.
» There's a report that Jay Cutler could have a hairline fracture in his leg, which would cost him the rest of the season. he will have an MRI on Monday. ... I wonder if the Colts will receive the same respect as the Pats did before the weekend if they can win this one. Everyone in the media said this Pats team could be the greatest in NFL history, but what if the Colts win without Marvin Harrison and Tony Ugoh? Are they now the greatest ever? We'll see. ... Wes Welker and Donte Stallworth have a combined 24 yards and no touchdowns. Tom Brady is almost looking exclusively to Randy Moss in the second half.
Tom Brady has 59 passing yards with around 8:30 left in the third quarter. This is without question his worst statistical performance of the season. ... Jamal Lewis scores his second touchdown of this afternoon, this one from two yards out. Lewis has 13 carries for 19 yards with two scores.

» Frank Gore is inactive, so look for Maurice Hicks to start and share carries with Michael Robinson. Laveranues Coles is also inactive, which means more time for Brad Smith and Justin McCareins. Kenny Watson will start in Buffalo, but Rudi Johnson is active and will see his share of the workload. Alge Crumpler is inactive, but Benjamin Watson is active at the tight end position. J.P. Losman is active and will start with Trent Edwards out of action. Losman is a nice sleeper this week.
» The New England-Indianapolis contest could be the greatest regular-season battle ever, so I have to make a prediction: Patriots 41, Colts 28. I just don't know how the Colts will beat the P-Men if Marvin Harrison and Tony Ugoh are both out with injuries. My fantasy girl, Jessica, is a huge Pats fan and predicts a New England win (shocker), 38-34. ... ESPN reports that Benjamin Watson will be active in Week 9, so be sure to check our inactives list for confirmation. ... I talked to Jim Nantz earlier in the week, and he thinks the Colts-Pats will do a 20-plus share. He and Phil Simms have had some tremendous luck this season -- first they called the New England-Dallas battle, now they're in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XL 1/2.
