The Falcons' coaches, according to a team official, feel very positive about center Alex Mack's availability to not only play during the Super Bowl, but also function at a high level despite a fibula injury that has limited him in practice.
A pool report Thursday from Atlanta's practice, quoted coach Dan Quinn as being, "concerned," about Mack's injury. However, after watching film of the practice, Falcons' coaches felt much better about Mack's ability to perform at a high level, the official said.
In Friday's injury report, Mack was listed as a limited participant for the third straight day. Defensive end Dwight Freeney was also limited on Friday after missing practice on Thursday.
Wide receiver Julio Jones was also limited this week, but has said multiple times that his toe injury is no longer bothering him.
