Falcons' John Abraham (ankle) says he'll play vs. 49ers

John Abraham was forced out of Sunday's 30-28 playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks after aggravating his sprained left ankle, but the Atlanta Falcons pass rusher says he'll be ready to face the San Francisco 49ers with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

"NFL Replay" will re-air the Falcons' 30-28 divisional playoff win over the Seahawks on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

"Oh, yeah, you know me, you can't keep me out of that game," Abraham told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We're going to treat the (heck) out of it."

Abraham first tweaked the ankle in a Week 17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His exit from Sunday's divisional playoff tilt put the Falcons in a tight spot. He's Atlanta's best pass rusher and the defense struggled to contain Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in his absence.

Wilson did an exceptional job of extending plays and moving around the pocket, evading plenty of near sacks along the way. As Seattle turned a 27-7 deficit into a 28-27 lead, the image of Abraham standing on the sideline without a helmet was a haunting one for Falcons fans.
