ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive end Kroy Biermann, their fifth-round pick this year, to a four-year deal.
Terms were not released.
The 6-foot-3, 241-pound Biermann had 32 career sacks and 220 tackles in 52 games at Montana. He was named the 2007 Big Sky Conference defensive MVP after recording 70 tackles and 15 sacks as a senior.
Biermann, of Hardin, Mont., is the eighth of the team's 11 draft picks to sign contracts.
The team has not reached agreements with offensive tackle Sam Baker, linebacker Curtis Lofton and linebacker Robert James.
Baker was the team's second first-round pick, following quarterback Matt Ryan, the No. 3 overall draft pick who was the first to sign with the team.
