Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore suffered an apparent right leg injury that required a stretcher to help remove him from the practice field on Wednesday.
The Falcons receiver went down on the back side of a play in the end zone during joint practices with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, according to multiple reporters in attendance. Moore was seen with an air cast on his right leg as he was taken away from the session for further evaluation. Practice ended early following Moore's injury.
Moore was entering his first season with the Falcons after being traded by the Arizona Cardinals to Atlanta in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder. A small-but-mighty receiver, Moore was added to provide versatility and big-play potential to a Falcons receiving corps that features Drake London and Darnell Mooney.
It appears the Falcons won't get to see that plan to come to fruition, not after witnessing the seriousness of Moore's lower body injury.
The timing is especially unfortunate for Moore, who was entering the final year of his rookie contract with the hopes he could earn a quality pay day by performing in the Falcons' new-look offense. Without firm information on Moore's condition, we'll wait for updates, but it doesn't look good right now.
