Fantasy football bold predictions for 2024 season: Caleb Williams a top-10 quarterback in Year 1

From identifying league winners and sleepers to separating fact from fiction, the NFL fantasy team has put in the work to help you crush your drafts and prepare for the 2024 season. And now, with the NFL Kickoff Game just around the corner, there's only one thing left to do ... issue some fearless takes for the upcoming campaign.

Here are four BOLD predictions for the 2024 fantasy football season:

Marcas Grant

Caleb Williams will be a top-10 quarterback.

I’ve maintained that Jayden Daniels was the rookie quarterback you wanted in 2024. His rushing upside excited us. And he was a more accomplished passer than Anthony Richardson or Justin Fields coming into the league. But after watching Williams in the preseason, he’s ready to hit the ground running (no pun intended). With three quality receivers and his ability to extend plays, 4,000 passing yards feels inevitable -- and with it, a solid QB1 campaign in his inaugural NFL season.

Mattt Okada

The Cardinals will be a top-three offense full of fantasy superstars.

Kyler Murray returned from an ACL injury in Week 10 last year. For the next eight games, James Conner was the RB6 and Trey McBride was the TE5. Now, Murray is entering Year 2 off the knee injury (which means back to 100 percent) and has been gifted Marvin Harrison Jr. on the outside. In 2024, all four guys will finish in the top six at their positions, as Arizona averages 30 points a game.

Adam Rank

Kyle Pitts is going to have a massive year.

I know you’ve heard this before. Kind of like when somebody says this DC movie is going to be different. But let me tell you why Kyle will feast. He's been one of the best tight ends downfield since entering the league in 2021, as the only player at the position to average 10-plus air yards per target (11.4), according to Next Gen Stats. And, you’re not going to believe this, but since 2021, the quarterback with the highest completion percentage (56.0) and passer rating (115.5) on passes of at least 10 air yards is ... Patrick Mahomes. Kidding, it’s Kirk Cousins, who is the Falcons quarterback in case you missed that. Kirk is going to make Kyle a fantasy beast this season. (Also, draft Cooper Kupp.)

Michael Florio

Youth takes over the quarterback position.

There is a changing of the guard at the league’s most vital position. Four of the top eight fantasy quarterbacks will be a rookie or second-year player. That seems like an easy feat for C.J. Stroud, last season’s Offensive Rookie of the Year. And with the running ability of Anthony Richardson and Jayden Daniels, plus the dual-threat skill set of Caleb Williams -- who has arguably the best receiver room in the league -- this quartet manages to finish in the top eight in fantasy points per game.
