Few similarities in GameDay Morning-Fantasy Live showdown

Steve Mariucci has it all figured out. The NFL Network analyst sees the Packers and Patriots playing for all the marbles in Super Bowl XLVI (what, not the Lions?!?), so he's loading up his NFL Fantasy Playoff Challenge roster with players from those two teams. That's one strategy for the game, and he's sticking with it.

Watch GameDay Morning starting at noon ET on Saturday, as Mooch, Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Michael Irvin, and Warren Sapp discuss their Playoff Challenge picks for the wild-card round.

Below are consensus picks made by analysts on GameDay Morning and NFL Fantasy Live. Come back each week to NFL.com as they reveal their picks for the divisional round, conference championships and Super Bowl XLVI.

QB: The hottest QB in the game right now, Brees figures to put up huge numbers on Saturday in a potential shootout with the Lions and beyond. -- Kurt Warner

RB1: The NFL's top rusher to make the playoffs, Rice will have to be the Ravens' workhorse if they are to reach the Super Bowl. -- Marshall Faulk

RB2: The Saints' do-everything back is a big-play threat as a rusher and receiver. -- Marshall Faulk

WR1: How do you not take the best wide receiver in the game? He's a BEAST! -- Michael Irvin

WR2: Green will lead the Bengals to a win over Houston in the wild-card round, and then will get to face New England's porous pass defense in the divisional round. -- Michael Irvin

TE: He had more receiving TDs than anyone in the NFL this year, and his Patriots are headed to the Super Bowl. -- Steve Mariucci

K: The Packers will win the Super Bowl, and Crosby's foot will help get them there. -- Steve Mariucci

DEF: The Ravens are headed for a deep playoff run, anchored by Ray Lewis, T-Sizzle and the rest of a defense filled with ornery men. -- Warren Sapp

QB: Brees threw for 342 yards and three scores the last time the Saints and Lions tangled, so why mess with what's already working? -- Matt "Money" Smith

RB1: Rice might be the only RB you can count on to get 18 to 20 touches in the divisional round. -- Dave Dameshek

RB2:Arian Foster is Arian Foster. How do you not want the most productive fantasy back on your playoff roster for at least a week? -- Matt "Money" Smith

WR1: Despite expecting the Lions to lose, I'm still taking Calvin Johnson. He's too good to pass on. -- Michael Fabiano

WR2: How are people still overlooking Victor Cruz? Every time he touches the ball, he's a threat to go to the house. -- Jason Smith

TE: With the way the Saints are playing heading into the postseason, you'd be silly not to ride the Drew Brees-Jimmy Graham train until it falls off the tracks. -- Elliot Harrison

K: John Kasay will tee it up indoors in Round 1 and possibly the Super Bowl, a huge advantage for kickers. -- Elliot Harrison

DEF: The Steelers, who I think have the easiest game in the first round, will be my wild-card defense. - Michael Fabiano
