Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is active for Sunday's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
The designation isn't considered a surprise, as Vick practiced all week despite the bruised right hand he suffered last Sunday against the New York Giants.
NFL Network's Albert Breer reported Sunday that Vick will wear a three-millimeter thick Kevlar glove on his injured non-throwing hand.
Vick has been knocked out of two of Philadelphia's first three games. For the season, he's 49-of-83 passing (59 percent) for 605 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. He has fumbled seven times, losing three.
Backup quarterback Vince Young also is active for the first time this season after recovering from a hamstring injury.
