Niners LB Fred Warner: Brandon Aiyuk situation 'a good issue to have'

San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk wants a new contract from his current club or a trade to a team willing to pay his worth.

The contract dance has become an old hat for the Niners, who went through a similar waltz with Deebo Samuel and dealt with Nick Bosa's absence last training camp.

On Monday, 49ers star linebacker Fred Warner told 95.7 The Game's Willard and Dibs that the contractual issues are just part of what happens when a team boasts a wide range of talent.

"When you're part of such a talented roster, I feel like this is something that goes on every season," Warner said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. "It's a good issue to have because, obviously, that means that your players are performing at such a high level that you have to have these kinds of conversations."

Niners players have supported Aiyuk throughout the process, including tight end George Kittle saying Monday on The Insiders that he hopes the receiver gets the "money that he deserves."

Warner echoes the sentiment that Aiyuk's offseason will not derail the Niners' goal of finally raising another Lombardi Trophy.

"It's a part of the business, and so we all just let them handle that," Warner explained. "And when he's back, he's back. We'll welcome him with open arms."
