New York Giants left tackle David Diehl recently underwent surgery to repair the broken left hand he played with for the final two months of the 2011 season, The Star-Ledger reported Monday.
Diehl posted a picture of an X-ray on Twitter that showed screws in his hand.
"Well it's good to know that my hand and finger are now fixed," Diehl wrote.
Diehl moved over from guard when tackle Will Beatty suffered a detached retina. He wore a cast over his two outside fingers for the final three games of the regular season and for the four playoff games, and he admitted said it affected his play.
"Especially when it's your left hand and you have a cast over it," Diehl said, via The Star-Ledger. "But this isn't just about me. This is about my teammates and my brothers. I can't say enough about them."
