2. Sam Huff (Redskins) vs. Giants, 1965
Most players at least try to take the high road after being traded. Not Sam Huff. New York Giants coach Allie Sherman shipped the Hall of Fame linebacker to the rival Redskins 46 years ago -- and Huff is still peeved. "I will hate him until the day he dies," Huff said in a recently published book, The Most Memorable Games in Giants History.
When the teams played on Nov. 27, 1966, New York had already won three of five meetings since the trade. But Huff smelled blood in this one. He implored Redskins QB Sonny Jurgensen to "show no mercy." As Washington cruised to a 69-41 lead, Huff was barking at Sherman any time he got near the Giants sideline. And with seven seconds left in the game, Huff called a timeout -- and convinced coach Otto Graham to kick a meaningless field goal to rub it in.
Final score: 72-41.
