Gimme 5: Who is ready for an expanded role with their team?

5. Mike Wallace, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

People in Pittsburgh talk about Mike Wallace like he is already a star. He is a speedy receiver who played a limited role as a rookie in the shadow of Santonio Holmes. Holmes was released by the Steelers for his off-field issues and gone with him are 79 receptions at 15.8 yards per catch and five touchdowns. With Ben Roethlisberger serving at least a four-game suspension, Wallace not only has to replace Holmes but rise up quickly to support a backup QB and keep the Steelers' playoff hopes alive. That's a lot to ask, but Wallace's 19.4 yards per catch in a limited role last year suggests he can do it. His six touchdowns were even better than Holmes. Hines Ward isn't getting any younger, and Wallace holds the dreams of many Steelers fans in those hands of his.
