Gridiron Breakdown: Steve Smith vs. Ric Flair

Here's a minor confession (which shouldn't come as a surprise to any of you if you follow me at all), I knew this Ric Flair thing was going to cause a dustup. When I heard he met with the San Francisco 49ers my immediate thought was, "Why would he do this to the Carolina Panthers?" This wasn't quite Hulk Hogan donning the black-and-white of the New World Order, but it was pretty close.

So, it came as no shock to me Steve Smith called him out for it. In fact, I expected it, too. With that in mind, the only thing we can do with these two is take them to the grid!

And without further ado ...

While Flair appeared to be winning this one, I'm going to award Smith the victory based on a disqualification. There is no way you can turn your back on your hometown, Flair. I really hope the Panthers reach out to Sting to have him give the pregame talk.
