Hill, Rhodes among fantasy free agents to target for Week 15

Here's a quick look at 10 players to target off the waiver wire as we head into Week 15 of the fantasy season.

Tatum Bell, RB, Denver (85 percent): The Broncos lost Peyton Hillis to an injured hamstring against the Chiefs, so Bell was called in to handle the backfield work. The rookie has been placed on injured reserve, so Bell will see a more prominent role going forward. Selvin Young, who has missed several weeks with an injured groin, would also be an option in fantasy leagues if he were able to return to action.

2008 statistics:
Rec: 39

Yards: 433

TDs: 1

Davone Bess, WR, Miami (79 percent): Bess hauled in a career-high nine passes for 74 yards in a 16-3 win over the Bills. The rookie receiver out of Hawaii has now caught 20 passes for 245 yards in his last three games and has become a viable No. 3 or 4 fantasy wideout in all PPR leagues. Bess next faces the San Francisco 49ers, who entered the week ranked a very unimpressive 28th against the pass.

Deion Branch, WR, Seattle (73 percent): Maybe it was the Patriots' awful pass defense, or maybe it was the motivation to beat on his old team. Whatever the reason, it was a nice week to be Branch. The veteran caught four passes for 88 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 24-21 loss. Branch and teammate Maurice Morris (71 percent) have added value heading into a Week 15 matchup with the lowly St. Louis Rams.

Tashard Choice, RB, Dallas (72 percent): Marion who? Choice, a rookie out of Georgia Tech, started in the absence of Marion Barber and went off against the Steelers and their top-ranked defense. He caught five passes for 78 yards, rushed for another 88 yards and was a major playmaker in what was a heartbreaker for Dallas at Heinz Field. If Barber is out again, Choice would be a viable flex starter in Week 15.

John Carlson, TE, Seattle (43 percent): Carlson was featured in this spot last week, but he's still a free agent in a lot of fantasy leagues. After posting eight catches for 69 yards and one touchdown against the Patriots, Carslon should be owned and started in most formats. The rookie out of Notre Dame has hauled in 14 catches for 174 yards and scored one touchdown in his last two contests.

DeShaun Foster, RB, San Francisco (93 percent): Frank Gore suffered what appeared to be a serious ankle injury against the Jets, so Foster could become the 49ers' top back in Week 15. The veteran isn't as explosive as Gore and can't replace his level of production, but Foster would warrant flex-starter consideration if he were called on to start against the Dolphins. He's still available in most NFL.com leagues.

Shaun Hill, QB, San Francisco (61 percent): He might not have the most impressive-looking release in the world, but Hill is still putting up some pretty good fantasy numbers. He threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns in an upset win over the Jets and has now posted 20-plus fantasy points in three of his last four starts. He'll be a sleeper option this week in Miami against the Dolphins' weak pass defense.

Dominic Rhodes, RB, Indianapolis (31 percent): Joseph Addai continues to deal with a variety of injuries, so Rhodes is seeing more time in the Colts backfield. That was evident against the Bengals, as he totaled 43 scrimmage yards and scored one touchdown. Addai didn't see much work at the end of the contest either, so Rhodes' role could increase in Week 15 against the Lions and their league-worst run defense.

Matt Schaub, QB, Houston (39 percent): It's hard not to be impressed with Schaub, who threw for 414 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-21 win at Lambeau Field. Entering the week, the Packers ranked 5th in pass defense and hadn't allowed a touchdown pass on their home field since Week 5. Schaub's matchups (Titans, Raiders) aren't the best over the next two weeks, but the veteran should still be owned in most formats.

Pierre Thomas, RB, New Orleans (29 percent): Thomas, who was featured in this spot last week, is still somehow a free agent in a good percentage of fantasy leagues on NFL.com. That shouldn't be the case after his monster performance against the Falcons, as he rushed for 102 yards and scored two touchdowns in a big 29-25 win. Thomas has now scored a touchdown in four consecutive games and an impressive nine overall.
