RENTON, Wash. -- The left side of the Seattle Seahawks' offensive line is crumbling now that guard Ben Hamilton has joined tackle Russell Okung on the sideline.
Hamilton was out of pads Wednesday and watching practice with an ice pack on his knee.
Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll said Hamilton, a former Denver Broncos starter signed during the offseason to tutor first-round draft pick Okung in the Seahawks' new zone-blocking schemes, wouldn't start in Saturday's preseason game at Minnesota.
Recent Philadelphia Eagles practice-squad player Mike Gibson played at left guard Wednesday, and he's slated to start there Saturday.
