The Bears offensive line is already down a man after being fully healthy for the first time all year.
Kyle Long was carted off the field in an air cast after suffering an ankle injury early in the second quarter of Chicago's 36-10 loss to the Buccaneers. He was ruled out right before halftime. Long had missed time earlier in the year with a triceps injury.
The Bears had just gotten Long and Pro Bowl guard Josh Sitton back into the lineup in time to face Tampa Bay.
One play after Long left the game, Jay Cutler fumbled the ball inside the 10-yard line after scrambling out of the pocket -- the quarterback's third turnover of the game up until that point.
In other bad injury news for Chicago, Bears rookie running back Jordan Howard suffered a possible Achilles tendon injury in loss to the Buccaneers, coach John Fox said.
Here are some other injuries we are tracking in Week 10:
- Packers linebacker Jake Ryan and guard T.J. Lang both left with ankle injuries and did not return. Offensive tackle David Bakhtiari suffered a knee injury and also made an early exit.
- Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks suffered a hip injury and didn't return in their 26-20 loss to the Redskins. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes left with a possible concussion and didn't return. Jake Long was carted off in the fourth quarter and never returned with an Achilles injury. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Long is likely done for the season.
- Buccaneers center Evan Smith suffered a knee injury in the first half and didn't return. Tampa Bay was already without starting center Joe Hawley, who is inactive with a knee injury.
- Chargers cornerback Brandon Flowerswas diagnosed with a concussion after San Diego's loss to Miami.
- Falcons punter Matt Bosher suffered a hamstring injury in Atlanta's loss to the Eagles.
