New England Patriots running back Damien Harris, who shined in the last matchup against the Buffalo Bills before injuring his hamstring, should be good to go Sunday, a source tells NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Harris is questionable and hasn’t played since that game.
Other injury news we are keeping an eye on ahead of Sunday's Week 16 games:
- The Atlanta Falcons placed defensive tackle Tyeler Davison on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- The Baltimore Ravens listed quarterback Lamar Jackson and receiver Devin Duvernay among their inactives.
- The Buffalo Bills listed running back Matt Breida as inactive.
- Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore, who is questionable with a hamstring injury, is expected to play, according to Rapoport. Carolina placed receiver Brandon Zylstra on the reserve/COVID-19 list and elevated C.J. Saunders from the practice squad.
- The Cincinnati Bengals listed cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III among their inactives.
- The Cleveland Browns placed offensive tackle Alex Taylor on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- Detroit Lions running backs D'Andre Swift and Jermar Jefferson are inactive for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
- Houston Texans running back David Johnson, limited with a quad injury and listed as questionable, is not expected to play, Rapoport reports. Johnson and receiver Danny Amendola were listed among Houston's inactives.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars placed linebacker Myles Jack on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Jack registered a positive test for the virus, per Rapoport.
- Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce did not clear COVID-19 protocols and will not play against Pittsburgh, Rapoport reports. K.C. will also be without QBs coach Mike Kafka, running backs coach Greg Lewis and assistant O-line coach Corey Matthaei, all of whom remain in COVID protocols.
- The Las Vegas Raiders placed receiver Bryan Edwards and quarterback Marcus Mariota on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl safety Derwin James (hamstring) is listed as questionable and is a game-time decision, according to Rapoport. While he has progressed as well as hoped, the true test will be in the workout. L.A. did not list any inactives for today's game. Cornerback Michael Davis (illness) is questionable.
- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) is pushing to play against the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Minnesota listed receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette as its only inactive, meaning Thielen is on track to give it a go, though the team still has to see how he's feeling pre-game. Thielen was officially listed as questionable coming in; he practiced this week after missing the past two games. Meanwhile, Minnesota placed backup quarterback Sean Mannion and offensive tackle Rashod Hill on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney, dealing with not only an oblique injury but also a ramp-up from the COVID list, has a good chance of playing, per Rapoport and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The ramp-up for the first-rounder went well, and if he clears a final hurdle Sunday, he’ll play.
- The New York Jets placed defensive lineman Quinnen Williams on the COVID list. Receiver Jamison Crowder is inactive.
- Washington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson, questionable after aggravating his turf toe, is a game-time decision, but there is some optimism that he goes. Meanwhile, wide receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring) is considered game-time but not nearly as much optimism for him, according to Rapoport.
