The Jacksonville Jaguars are sniffing around a veteran receiver.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Jags are working out free-agent receiver Terrelle Pryor today, per a source informed of the situation.
The former QB-turned-WR most recently played for the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets in 2018. He participated in just six games with New York before being jettisoned after catching only 14 balls for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Pryor lasted just two games with the Bills before being cut, snatching two passes for 11 yards and earning zero targets in his second tilt.
Since moving from quarterback to receiver after the 2013 season, Pryor had one breakout year with the Cleveland Browns in 2016, catching 77 passes for 1,007 yards in 16 games. Since then, a rash of injuries, a case of the dropsies, and inefficiency have waylaid his receiver career.
Turning 30 years old next month, Pryor still owns the size at 6-foot-4 and athleticism if it all clicks and he can stay healthy. That's an amorphous if at this point, however.
If signed by the Jags, he'd be in a battle with younger targets for playing time and likely have to fight to make the roster in training camp.
