Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette tweeted Sunday that Steelers fans shouldn't expect to see Harrison until after the team's Sept. 30 bye week. Dulac told Steelers fans not to expect Harrison's first start in Week 5 at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Harrison's status against the Jets was a mystery all week. He suggested he'd be ready for New York, but continued discomfort in his knee is expected to force him out for his second straight game, despite being listed as questionable.
The Jets-Steelers matchup is gaining intrigue because of who won't be on the field. New York's best defensive player, cornerback Darrelle Revis, is out with a concussion, while Steelers All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu is questionable with a calf injury.
