Jason Babin's offseason has come to an end.
Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley told reporters that the veteran defensive end underwent groin surgery Tuesday morning. Babin is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Babin is an important player for the Jaguars, who will count on the veteran to be one of the team's primary pass rushers in 2013. Babin has been with the Jaguars since November, when he was claimed off waivers following his release by the Philadelphia Eagles. He had seven sacks last season, 1.5 coming while with the Jags.
At 33 and entering his 12th season, durability now is a concern for Babin. The Jaguars must hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
