Jay Gruden received his first interview for a head-coaching job on Thursday with the Arizona Cardinals. Two more opportunities are on the way.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Gruden is scheduled to meet with the Eagles on Monday. The Eagles later confirmed the interview on their website.
NFL.com's Albert Breer is reporting that Gruden also has an interview scheduled with the San Diego Chargers for their vacant head-coaching position, according to a club source.
Gruden -- the younger brother of Jon Gruden -- just concluded his second season as offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals. The 45-year-old Gruden has helped to develop quarterback Andy Dalton, who has progressed in each of his seasons in the league. Gruden has no NFL head-coaching experience, but spent nine seasons as head coach of the Orlando Predators in the Arena Football League. He was also a head coach during a brief United Football League stint in 2010.
Gruden is now in play for three of the six open head-coaching positions. Consult our trusty NFL head-coaching search tracker for more details.
